We have been working with Moto for a long time, designing and installing full mechanical services for their KFC and Pret a Manger units. We take a holistic approach, both in terms of system design and our engagement with the client.
We get involved from the feasibility stage, providing site surveys that go beyond issues that might impact mechanicals, for example highlighting health and safety risks on site.
We design the extraction, supply air and air conditioning to work effectively together, identifying ways to make efficiencies whilst maintaining optimum performance. We also take care of cold rooms, fire suppression systems and the building management system (BMS).
In one quarter, we delivered five new KFCs and three new Pret a Mangers simultaneously. We grew the team in advance of this programme, to ensure each project had a dedicated Project Manager (three PMs worked across the programme). We ensured that this challenging programme was delivered smoothly by working closely with the Principal Contractors to feed into their programmes of work and manage issues as they occurred on site. The PMs attended site meetings to provide the client with regular updates and assurance and liaised regularly with our sub-contractors to ensure they could deliver on time across all of the sites.
We were very proud of the results of our hard work: eight shiny (not to mention safe, compliant and efficient) new stores.
