Kroyair Ltd is a company with a long and rich history that celebrated its 81st anniversary recently.
The company was established on 14th May 1943 as KROY REFRIGERATION, and focused mainly on Refrigeration for its first three decades.
In 1976, It moved from its original office in Birmingham's Jewellery quarter to Moseley Road, where it still has its main office, around the time it started offering Air Conditioning as well.
Dave Nicholls, who joined Kroyair as an Apprentice in 1964, became the owner of the company in 1980 and introduced a 24/7 reactive service that covered a large part of England from the early days. Mr Nicholls retired in 2014 after being with Kroyair for over half a century.
Over the previous 10 years, he trained and instilled the “Kroyair values” in Karl Smejko and Karl Abell, who purchased the company from Mr Nicholls in 2014.
The company changed its name to Kroyair Ltd on 1st April 1987.
Kroyair Ltd now provides Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services across the country and has nearly 100 direct employees nationwide.
